The pain-relief medication Biofreeze features tennis star Sloane Stephens and professional slam dunk artist Jonathan Clark in its latest national advertising campaign.
Stephens, the winner of the 2017 U.S. Open and six other World Tennis Association titles, grew up in Fresno before moving to Florida as a teenager to train at a tennis academy.
Clark is a former UCLA track and field standout whose leaping ability enables him to pull off attention-grabbing dunks on the basketball court. He teaches eighth-grade science at Clovis Unified’s Granite Ridge Intermediate School in Fresno.

Stephens Announces Her Engagement

On Monday, Stephens, 26, and U.S. Men’s National Soccer team member Jozy Altidore, 29, announced their engagement on social media.

“She is somebody who gets everything I am going through without having to say anything,” Altidore told USA Today in 2017. “You look at each other and you kind of know right away if one of you is annoyed. She just kind of gets the mood I’m in, as obviously she lives a very similar kind of life. In that regard it works really well, there is no stress.
“She is a successful athlete and I do OK, and we just enjoy our time together when we are together.”
Altidore plays for Toronto FC in Major League Soccer.
