Employers in the city of Fresno now must notify their employees if there is a positive COVID-19 case in the workplace.
That was one part of a change to the city’s emergency order approved by the Fresno City Council on July 16.
The CDC recently updated its guidelines to say a person doesn’t necessarily need to get a COVID-19 test before returning to work.
Additionally, the person only needs 24 hours of non-fever symptoms before they can discontinue isolation. Previously, the CDC had suggested three days.
However, patients with severe illness, the duration of isolation for up to “20 days after symptom onset may be warranted.”
