A woman who called 911 may have saved the life of her Porterville neighbor two years ago while aiding in the conviction of a man for domestic violence.

Dylan Snow

A Tulare County jury convicted Dylan Snow, 26, of felony domestic violence with the special allegation that his actions caused great bodily injury on Thursday.

The Tulare County District Attorney’s Office says that Snow faces up to nine years in prison when he is sentenced early next year.

According to court records, Snow became aggressive at the apartment of the female victim and attacked her.

Neighbor Walking Dog Hears Screams

A neighbor out walking her dog heard screams and went toward the apartment. She saw the victim yelling for help and bleeding from a 3-inch cut on her forehead. Snow then tried to drag the victim back into the apartment by pulling on her hair, prosecutors said.

The neighbor shouted, “Stop!” and called 911. Snow fled the apartment but was caught by Porterville police a short time later.

Deputy DA Victoria Frazer prosecuted the case.
