Former Woodlake Police Officer Gets Nearly 11 Years for Rape

Former Woodlake police officer Oscar Robles, 30, is headed to state prison for the sexual assaults of two victims in 2017-18.

Robles was sentenced to 10 years and eight months on Tuesday in Tulare County Superior Court.

He pleaded no contest to the crimes on Jan. 20, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

Uses Police Officer Status to Threaten Victims

In each crime, Robles threatened to arrest the victim if she did not comply with his sexual demands, court records show.

In addition to his prison sentence, Robles must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The case was prosecuted by Tulare County senior deputy DA Katrina Brownson and was investigated by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
