ANAHEIM — Families waiting for the shuttle to Disneyland in front of the Anaheim Marriott didn’t know what to make of all the Trump flags and horn-honking cars passing in front of them. They just wanted to get to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Donald Trump is the kenyote speaker for the California GOP convention, lunchtime edition. More than three hours berore the speech, hundreds of Trump lovers lined the halls, waiting to be let into the Marquis Ballroom.

The event is sold out, state party organizers say, with 1,500 tickets sold. Tickets cost $600, with $1,000 getting lunchgoers closer to the front. In all, 128 tables are set up for a lunch of wedge salad and chicken. A mini-bar is selling libations; water and soda go for $8 a pop.

Lori Levi of Brietta’s Buttons in Canton, Michigan, paid $1,000 for the right to sell t-shirts ($20-$30), MAGA socks ($10), and a special CCW purse ($85).

“I expect a good day,” she said. She also sells her wares in Fresno County.
